Great pair of Illinois River Wood duck decoys by famous contemporary carver Jim Slack. These hunting grade decoys are hollow two-piece construction in excellent original paint. The exceptional paint has detailed feathering and thick combing. This is some of the thickest paint I have ever seen Jim use and the detail is fantastic. The heads are alert and the bills have detailed nail carving. They are actual size15” in length and 9” tall. Both decoys have their original keel weights and are marked “JHS Maker”. Slack Wood ducks are highly sought after. These are a matched pair of rig mates.You will not be disappointed with these beautiful hunting grade decoys.
