This is a wonderful wood carving of a feeding Curlew Shorebird mounted on a piece of driftwood by famous contemporary Illinois River decoy carver Jim Slack. Jim is well known for his Duck, Goose, and Shorebird carvings. This is in excellent condition with a rich brown tone and detailed feathering. It is 8 1/2" tall and 11" long and has glass eyes and an inserted wood bill. It is identified and signed by Slack on the bottom of the base. It has a wonderful look and would be a great addition to your collection or make a very nice gift.
